Souriau Circular Connector The Souriau UTG Metalok Bantam series 8-contacts female circular panel mounting receptacle connector has 13A current rating. This connector features a spring-loaded metal bayonet ring that ensures easy, reliable and durable mating attenuation. It has a rugged and robust design to resist every environmental and mechanical requirement for indoor and outdoor applications. The connector housing is made from thermoplastic and coupling ring made from nickel-plated brass.This connector is available in 8 shell sizes, 11 insert arrangements, all intermateable, interchangeable and intermountable with the TRIM TRIO “UT0” and “UTP industrial connector families.Trim Trio Metalok Bantam Plastic circular connectors, derived from MIL-C-26482, with a secure metal coupling system to provide a complete solution for lightweight, robust industrial interconnections. The shell material is glass filled thermoplastic, with a rated operating temperature ranging between -55°C and 125°C. Contacts to be ordered separately. How do you maintain the product?• Axles and other movable parts should be regularly lubricated. • Lubrication* is recommended at least every 10,000 cycles whenever the tool is exposed to contaminants. • Adjustment of the crimping die nests should also be checked. Readjustment of the pressure adjustment axle is necessary when the pre-load of the tool decreases significantly.The Importance of a High-Quality CrimpWhen a crimping tool is used on a terminal, two crimps take place at the same time. One is the electrical connection between the conductor and terminal. The other is the insulation crimp which provides strain relief against vibration and tension. It is important that the electrical connection is gas-tight without any voids between the wire strands and the terminal. If there any voids present, then corrosion can occur causing resistance and excessive heat which damages the electrical connection. Using a good quality crimping tool will ensure that a full, gas-tight crimp is produced preventing future deterioration of the electrical connection and insulation breakage.
